Sandy, both an LPGA and PGA professional is an over 30 year veteran of the golf industry. She takes pride in her teaching philosophy: “Making your swing better for you, not that there is A way a student’s swing must be”.
Before arriving in New Mexico, Sandy was a head golf professional for 18 years at the Landings, Savannah, Georgia. She has the distinction of being the first woman named as Director of Instruction in the state of New Mexico. In 2008, Sandy’s duties as Director of Instruction at Twin Warriors Golf Club was expanded to put her in charge of Santa Ana Golf Club as well – making her Director of Instruction for Santa Ana Golf Corporation.
Sandy’s list of accomplishments include: the Futures Tour, Ladies Asian Golf Tour, Rules Official for the PGA Championship and LPGA Section Coordinator / Committee Member. Sandy has been teaching Golf Clinics for Women for the LPGA across the country for over 20 years. She was recognized as Callaway Club Fitter of the Year in 2005. Sandy was named the 2009 Sun Country Section PGA Jack Hardwick Teacher of the Year and recognized by the PGA as Teacher of the Year in Georgia. Sandy became a Master Staff Professional for Callaway Golf in 2013 and was inducted into the Callaway Hall of Fame in 2017.
Sandy has partnered with Rosie Jones Getaway held at Hyatt Tamaya Resort & Spa and served on the instructional panel at the 2010 PGA Merchandise Show. She was a panel member at the PGA show in 2017 for the PGA Magazine “Women Leaders” conference. Sandy has taught numerous Golf Schools in New Mexico and out of state with Hollis Stacy (2012 World Golf Hal of Fame inductee). Sandy has been a featured instructor in articles for the PGA Magazine. She has been selected as one the top PGA Club Fitters and invited to attend PGA Magazine Club Fitting Conferences in 2011, 2012 and 2016.
Sandy has also partnered with the Girl Scouts of America in Indiana as the Lead Instructor for the girl scouts and executive directors in 2014 and 2016.
