Emily started learning the game at the age of 12 through the "Hook a Kid" on golf program at her local golf course. The program definitely hooked her as she went on to play golf at Valparaiso High School and then Methodist University in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She double majored in Business Administration and Marketing with a concentration in Professional Golf Management. Emily has ten plus years of teaching experience with all ages and all levels! She has taught at resorts and country clubs all over the country including The Ritz-Carlton-Dove Mountain, NCR Country Club, Olympia Fields Country Club, and currently at Indian Hill Club in Winnetka, IL.

After receiving her PGA membership in 2011, she went on to earn her Class A LPGA membership in 2017. She is currently the only female PGA professional certified in these three areas: golf operations, golfer development, and teaching/coaching. Emily is also a U.S. Kids certified instructor as she encourages juniors to try golf!

In the off season, she teaches indoors at The University Club of Chicago located on Monroe Street and other various locations in Orland Park and Tinley Park.
