Clarissa’s professional golf career began after graduating from the University of South Carolina where she served as the assistant women’s golf team coach. She competed at the highest level in the sport as a full-time tour player for 12 years before returning to collegiate coaching at Newberry College, where her teams went on to win two conference championships in record fashion. In 2017, Clarissa accepted the position as Executive Director of the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association which is recognized throughout the United States as one of the premiere organizations in women’s golf. Founded in 1949, the WSCGA has grown to over 275 member clubs with more than 14,000 women golfers who play as amateurs receiving GHIN handicaps. In her Executive Director role, Clarissa dedicates her passion for the sport by upholding the traditions, policies and ethical values for which the game of golf is known. A Certified USGA Rules Official, Clarissa also serves as a Member of the Carolinas Golf Council. As a true visionary, Clarissa demonstrates her entrepreneurial skills by facilitating and directing the efforts of a select group of talented individuals to achieve success. She is renowned for growing and enhancing women’s golf in South Carolina and beyond.

A life-long resident of South Carolina, Clarissa enjoys hunting, fishing, boating and dedicating her time as a dog rescue volunteer.
