I hope each student can gain a little better understanding of how the fundamentals apply to them and also learn a process so they understand what they need to do versus what they did wrong.

Prior to teaching and coaching golf Kaufmann was the Senior Women's Administrator and Head Women's Volleyball and Basketball Coach at Lake Forest College. She went to Lake Forest after serving as assistant to the Women's Athletic Director and Assistant Volleyball and Basket Ball Coach at the University of Dayton.
An outstanding golfer, Kaufmann played on the Women's Professional Golf Tour in 1979-1980 and played in the 1982 US Women's Open.
A 1976 graduate of Dayton with a degree in Physical Education and minor in Biology, Kaufmann played volleyball, golf and basketball for the Flyers. She earned her MS from Dayton in 1978 in Education with a specialization in Athletic Administration. She was inducted into the Dayton Hall of Fame in 1985.
Betty and her husband Jamie currently reside in South Carolina. She has four children, J.T., Tucker, Patrick and Norie.
