My teaching philosophy I am sure is very similar to the other amazing golf professionals that I will be teaching along with as it is all about customizing lessons to each student. I have been teaching golf for 23 years and have worked with and under well recognized teaching professionals including a PGA Master Teaching Professional. I have used many forms of teaching systems, technology based, video analysis, you name it! Within a few minutes with a student, and after speaking with them to understand their wants, I proceed to explain expectations and I proceed with our lesson plan explaining what we would be working on for that session and show them the what, why, and how. I also enjoy quantifying ‘feel’ to help my students continue the learning process at home with useful drills. I have had numerous injuries in my past and have developed ways to work with various injuries as well as disabilities for individuals to continue to enjoy the game of golf. For our clinic, I hope to simplify lessons into easily digestible information for my students to go home with, using our body in the most effective way possible!

What I hope to accomplish with each student:
I hope to accomplish with each student three things. Depending upon the station I am at, the focus will be the same. One is the overall topic I will focus on with everyone, a few simple tools with fundamental roots to bring the students back with the understanding of how that will be a domino effect. Number two is the topic goal, which may be new for the individuals, so have the students understand the concept of the what and why. The third is then going around to each student and as they are practicing the concept to tailor it to them. That way each person comes away from the session with an overall understanding of the fundamentals, a swing concept and the what and why we do it and it is customized to them.

  • Placed in the top three in most of the Long Island, High School, and Met PGA junior golf events.

Naomi went to Penn State University to study Professional Golf Management, Business and Music and had three internship opportunities at Grand Cypress Resort (FL), Shelter Harbor (RI) New Bedford CC (MA), and as the Assistant Director of Operations & P.J. Boatwright Jr. Recipient at the WMGA (NY).

Then she took off to the high seas for an opportunity to be the Head Golf Professional on Elite Golf Cruises that started on one ship and after two ships she was asked to develop an itinerary for a new cruise line. She found her seas legs and developed two new cruise line setups for NCL cruise lines.

Coming back to land Naomi had the great pleasure to work for Master PGA Professional Tom Willson at Bonnie Briar Country Club. There Naomi developed her love for teaching, merchandising and tournaments.

After Tom retired Naomi ran all tournaments, merchandised, and taught at Turning Stone Resort Casino until she got her first Director of Golf job at the old IBM Country Club, Traditions at the Glen Resort. Naomi increased player development programs by around160%, memberships by 75%, and merchandising by 30%. She volunteered her time and integrated a golf curriculum for two weeks in an entire school district with over 360 children. That program could continue to run without her for years to come, which is something she is very proud of!

Naomi then ventured to Rhode Island for a Director of Golf position at Alpine Country Club before changing her career direction to Mass Golf where she now is the Manager of Women’s Events and Player Development. This is Naomi’s third year at Mass Golf and her goal at Mass Golf and in life is to impact women on a larger scale helping them enjoy the game more as well as introduce more women and girls into the game.
